THE ROSE THAT GREW FROM THE CONCRETE
This programming is dedicated to the empowerment of young ladies and formerly incarcerated and justice-impacted women reentering society and their communities. The program lasts for 10-12 weeks and it’s designed to support up to ten justice-impacted women 18 years and older. The program covers a comprehensive range of topics, beginning with a deep exploration of their current selves, and how to regain confidence and redefine their identity. Participants are encouraged to defy external expectations and focus on recognizing their strengths. As the program progresses, the women move on to designing their new lives, setting clear goals, identifying resources, building a support network, and establishing personal objectives related to finances, career, housing, education, and life skills. They also explore the concept of family reunification, examining whom they want or need to reconnect with, what changes have been made, and how to listen and respond to their truths.
We understand that highlighting what is important and offering practical skills and tools for empowerment and personal growth, is a determining factor. Throughout the 10-12 weeks, the women build a strong foundation for self-improvement, healing, and personal transformation, ultimately fostering mental and emotional well-being.
